Privacy

AATT handles personal information in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

  • Identity information (name, date of birth, contact details, USI, photo ID)
  • Educational and employment history
  • Workplace information (employer, supervisor)
  • Assessment evidence and outcomes
  • Financial transaction records for course fees
  • Support needs (LLN, disability, accessibility)

Why we collect it

  • To verify eligibility and identity for enrolment
  • To deliver training and assessment services
  • To issue qualifications and statements of attainment
  • To comply with reporting obligations (NCVER / AVETMISS, ASQA, USI)
  • To respond to regulatory or audit requests
  • To provide support services

How we store it

Personal information is held in AATT's secure document management systems. Access is restricted to authorised AATT staff on a least-privilege basis. AATT has technical, administrative, and physical safeguards in place to prevent unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.

Disclosure

AATT may disclose your information to:

  • NCVER for AVETMISS reporting
  • The USI Office for USI verification
  • ASQA for regulatory compliance
  • Workplace supervisors and employers (for Workplace-Based learners, with your consent)
  • External LLN providers (with your consent)
  • Other parties only with your written consent or where required by law

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information AATT holds about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Make a complaint about how AATT handles your information
  • Withdraw consent (where consent was the basis for collection)

Retention

Learner assessment records are retained for 30 years per the NVR Act. AVETMISS data is retained for 7 years minimum. Other records per AATT Records Management and Privacy Policy.

Data breaches

AATT operates a Data Breach Response Plan. Eligible Data Breaches under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme are reported to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and affected individuals.
