Scope of registration

Standards we operate under

• ASQA Outcome Standards 2025 (Quality Areas 1-4)
• National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth)
• Australian Qualifications Framework
• Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
• Workplace Health and Safety legislation (NSW and VIC)

What AATT does NOT do

• AATT is NOT CRICOS-registered. AATT does not enrol international students on student visas.
• AATT does NOT receive government funding for any qualification. AATT is full-fee domestic only.
• AATT does NOT operate a fixed practical workshop. All practical learning and assessment occur at the learner's workplace.
• AATT cannot grant licences. Building registration and trade licences are issued by state and territory authorities.

Industry consultation

AATT consults with industry representatives at least twice yearly. Industry input shapes our training and assessment strategies, assessment tools, and elective selection. Consultation records are retained per the AATT Industry Engagement Policy.

Validation

AATT validates assessment tools and processes: pre-delivery, post-cohort, cyclically (every 5 years per unit), and on trigger (training package update, audit finding, learner appeal, substantial change). Validation is conducted by qualified, independent validators.

Continuous improvement

AATT operates a Continuous Improvement Register capturing all improvement opportunities. Inputs include learner and employer feedback, validation outcomes, complaints, and industry consultation. An annual Self-Assurance Review is conducted against all four Quality Areas of ASQA Outcome Standards 2025.
